Before Your Spray Tan

Exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment.
Removing dry, dead skin helps your tan apply evenly and last longer. Pay extra attention to dry areas such as knees, elbows and ankles.

Avoid high-pH products.
Before your appointment, avoid bar soaps, heavy shower products and in-shower moisturizers that may interfere with color development.

Complete hair removal at least 24 hours beforehand.
Shaving, waxing and depilatory creams should be done the day before your spray tan whenever possible.

Day of Your Appointment

Arrive with clean, dry skin.

Avoid applying:

• Lotions or creams

• Perfume

• Body oils

• Makeup

• Heavy deodorant

These products may create a barrier between your skin and the tanning solution.

Wear loose-fitting, dark clothing and remove jewelry before your session. Tight clothing may rub against developing bronzer, particularly around the waist, chest, knees and elbows. Loose clothing and flip-flops are ideal.

After Your Spray Tan

Allow your tan plenty of time to develop before showering. DHA color begins developing within several hours and may continue developing for up to 24 hours.

For best results, avoid showering for the recommended development time provided at your appointment.

If you need to rinse before your tan has fully developed, use warm water only unless otherwise directed. Avoid scrubbing or using harsh soaps during your first rinse.

The cosmetic bronzer applied during your session will wash away during your first shower. This is normal and does not mean your tan is washing off.

After your first shower, gently pat your skin dry and moisturize regularly to help extend the life of your tan.

Swimming pools, hot tubs and prolonged exposure to chlorinated water may cause your tan to fade more quickly.

Important: A sunless tan does not provide protection from UV exposure. Continue to use sunscreen as directed when outdoors.
